We all know that there is a vast difference between learning and wisdom. Learning involves the accumulation of facts, and in creditable as it is to realize, many a person who is positively a walking encyclopedia, has not enough sense to come in out of the rain!

Wisdom is the right use of learning. The Biblical description of the vast learning of Solomon has led us to speak of the wisdom of Solomon, yet Solomon built his great empire on slave labor and made the division of his kingdom after his death inevitable. Solomon was learned, but not wise.

Abraham Lincoln knew very few facts because of a meager education, but he became a leader in world history. George Washington was by no means a well-educated man, but he could use what he knew in infinite advantage.

Seek knowledge, information. Get all of it you can. But remember that it only becomes wisdom if you use your information to right and beneficial ends . . .
