Rarely does a day pass that we are not reminded in some way how fast time passes. Our birthdays, friends’ and relatives’ birthday, entire years seemingly vanishing. It seems like yesterday that our first grandson was born and in November he will be 18 years of age and graduating from high school. That seems impossible!
With this thought in mind, we would like to pass along a comment that Ralph Waldo Emerson once made: “One of the illusions in life is that the present hour is not the critical, decisive hour. Write it on your heart that everyday is the best day of the year. He only is right who owns the day, and no one owns the day who allows it to be invaded by worry, fret, and anxiety. Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could.”
Yes, today is the day! Own today. Get on with those unfinished tasks. . . DO IT TODAY!
