She worked as an RN for 30 years and as a school nurse for 5 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William ''Bill'' Sellman and Hallie ''O'dell'' Kay and nephew, Matthew Wayne Johnson.
Survivors include sons, Charley Nelms Jr. and Jan Maywald, and Andrew Nelms and Jennifer McNeely; sisters, Colleen Meadows, Kathy and Jerry Johnson; grandchildren, Hallie, Tyler, Harlee, and Wyatt Nelms, Autumarie, Reina, Maddy and Shayleigh Kellett; nephew, Gerald ''Jerry'' Johnson and Elizabeth.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, October 30, 2021 at Kerrville First United Methodist Church.

Was so sorry to see this. I enjoyed hanging around Madeline. Good to meet her children and get to know them.

To my two sweet nephews Charley and Andrew I pray that God wraps his loving arms around you both. Your mom loved you with her whole being and I know y’all will miss her everyday but always remember we will see her again. May God bless y’all and keep y’all. Make mom proud of y’all in all y’all do.
I love you both.
