Bettie Rowland, age 101, passed away February 6, 2022 in Kerrville. She has been a Kerrville resident since 1978.

She was born in Breckenridge, Texas to James and Eitha Laughlin on February 14, 1920. She married Albert Rowland on March 28, 1937 in Wooster, Ohio. She attended Wooster High School.

Bettie owned and operated many small businesses and ended her career after working at the Dietert Senior Center kitchen for 15 years. She retired at the age of 85. Her family and her community were her life's work and her love.

She was preceded in death by husband, Albert Rowland; two sons-in-law; and four grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Sally Reddicker of Kerrville, Sue Dixon of Wooster, Ohio, Cindi Keltz of Kerrville and Michael Rowland of Belton, Texas; 39 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 60 great-great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe.

Memorials may be made to Dietert Senior Center.
