Jon Eli Cox died, at the young age 58, of Kerrville, Texas, Sunday May 15, 2022. He was born to Thomas Eddy and Vivien Leigh (Steffler) Cox in Houston, Texas.

As a teenager, he worked at a frame shop building custom frames for photographs and paintings in Magnolia, Texas, which gave him the love of wood working. Because of his love of the Hill Country and the people, he decided to call this area his home. He knew no stranger, he was a friend to all.

Jon opened a custom cabinet shop, but realized his real passion was building homes. Over the years, he worked with many local contractors. As time went on, he decided to start his own building and remodeling company, J Cox Construction.

On May 17, 2014, Jon married the love of his life, Marian (Wahrmund) in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Jon had one special dream, to build their forever home. He almost completed it, but illness set him back before he could finish. God had a higher calling for our Jon.
