Lee B. RobinsonI am a Veteran.
1/15/1946 - 12/18/2023

On Monday, December 18, 2023, Lee Robinson passed away, surrounded by his family. A native Texan, Air Force Veteran, retired commercial airline captain, and recreational pilot are synonymous with a man who traveled the world and understood the meaning of a life well-lived. Lee married his high school sweetheart Peggy, and they raised their family in Dallas, living there for over 30 years. They retired to Kerrville in 2008. After losing Peggy in 2017, Lee married Bess Wilson Robinson in 2019. The two enjoyed lots of laughs, and numerous adventures and travels together over the years. Lee found joy as a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Quiet Birdmen, and volunteering with the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) in Kerrville.

Lee was always equipped with a warm smile, a kind greeting, and probably a snide remark or two. He was generous, witty, caring, supportive, loyal, and dutiful. He had a laugh that made you feel like you were funny and witty too. Either instigating or joining in, Lee was always ready for a good time or a toast with friends since “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere.” He loved a good road trip, National Parks, working out at the gym, and flying – so long as he was the one in the cockpit of the subsonic, swept-wing bug sucker. He was a devoted father, husband, and friend and is missed dearly. One last time, on Lee’s behalf, he would stress, “It wasn’t me. I didn’t do it. It’s not my fault.”

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Rosalie and Will Robinson; his brother, Will A. Robinson; and his wife, Peggy Robinson.

He is survived by his wife, Bess Wilson Robinson; his children, Steven Robinson and Jill Perkins; granddaughters, Landri and Rilynn Robinson; daughter-in-law, Angie Robinson; and son-in-law, Bryan Perkins.

Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Kerrville at 10:00 A.M. on January 13, 2024.
