Pierce Turner Dutton
9/29/2003 - 2/1/2024

Pierce Turner Dutton, age 20, went home to the Lord on February 1, 2024. Born in San Antonio, Texas on September 29, 2003, he was the son of Kera and David Dutton.

Pierce was a student at Texas State University where he studied Agricultural Engineering. Prior to that, he attended Geneva School of Boerne where he was well loved by his peers and the school community. Growing up, Pierce was an amazing friend to many and always loved seeing other people smile.

With an enjoyment for all things mechanical and automotive, Pierce especially loved diesel trucks. He and his brother, Cole, also raised show cattle. In 2022, Pierce exhibited the Champion Shorthorn Junior Market Steer at the San Antonio Livestock Show. He enjoyed hunting, good music, and spending time with his incredible group of loyal friends.

In the Dutton family, Pierce was quite the family manager. With his innate sense of direction when traveling, knowledge of the best places to eat, and ability to efficiently place online orders, Pierce basically ran the household. He even had everyone's passwords memorized. Pierce was a young man of few words, but of great depth, as he displayed amazing strength despite everything he endured.

To know Pierce was to know a smile that could light up any room. He was kind, gentle, and taught many people to have a greater perspective on life. We are confident Pierce is now completely healed, standing up tall, and we look forward to seeing him eye to eye one day. Until then, he will be deeply loved and missed.

Pierce is survived by his loving parents, Kera and David Dutton; brother, Cole Dutton; grandparents, Donna "Nonna" Heite, W.C. (Dee) Heite, Mike "Papaw" and Diane "Mamaw" Dutton; aunts and uncles, Kurt (Nada) Heite, Wesley Dutton, Torrie Smith, Kevin (Ashley) Smith Jr., and Shelby Dutton; and cousins, Kassidy Heite, Kenzie Taylor, Samora Withers, Krayton Dutton, Kolyn Dutton, and Brandon Dutton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10th at Currey Creek Church with Pastor John Free officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Dutton, Luke Cloutier, Noah Nilsson, Brady Taha, Judah Diller, and Luke Mixon.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff who came alongside Pierce on his journey, with special thanks to Dr. Chris Burdick, Dr. Kelly Smith, Dr. Rodney Carry; nurses Andrea, Jordyn, and Zeke; and respiratory therapist, Darnisha.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Disabled Outdoorsmen at www.disabledoutdoorsmen.com/donate.
