Inge and her family suffered great loss after World War II when the entire state they lived in was awarded to Poland as an ally against Germany. They lost their home and livelihood without compensation. She married an American soldier, Hershell Jones, and came to America in 1954. She proudly became an American citizen.

She married Donald E. Chambliss in 1983, who preceded her in death in 2005. She held various secretarial positions throughout the years, the most recent before retirement having been Schreiner Bank in Kerrville.

She had great love for her family and was an avid bowler throughout her lifetime, still a league bowler as recently as May 2024. She also had great love for animals, especially cats, dogs and her backyard birds. Her pride and joy was her cat "Cosmo."

At her request, no services are planned.
