Deborah Lynn Cooley

Deborah Cooley, 71, of Kerrville, passed away on October 10, 2024, in Kerrville. She was born in Savannah, Georgia to Henry Jarrell Baker Jr. and Rita Merle (Lambert) Baker. She married Kevin Cooley on December 31, 1983.

She went to school at Richard King High School in Corpus Christi. She worked as an Aviation Insurance Broker, most recently at Falcon Insurance Agency in Kerrville for over 10 years. She was a Children’s church teacher at Friendship Baptist Church in Waller, TX for many years. She was a lover of animals, and a genuinely kindhearted soul.

Debi was preceded in death by her Father, Henry J. Baker Jr. and her Mother, Rita Merle Baker.

Survivors include the love of her life and Husband of 40 years, Kevin Cooley; Favorite and only Son, Jon Ryan Cooley; Absolutely Awesome Daughter-in-Law, Selena Cooley; Adored Grandson, Dillon, and Twin Texas Tornadoes (Granddaughters), Mollee and Zoey; her beloved Golden Retriever, Sampson and the little Heinz 57, Mr. Peabody.

Visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville, with Pastor John Wheat officiating.
