Scottie Dugger

Allen Scott (Scottie) Dugger, 78, of Center Point, Texas, passed away on November 10, 2024 at his home in Center Point, Texas. He was born in Robstown, Texas to Buford and Ida Belle Dugger. He married Carol Cecala Dugger on June 2, 1978 in San Marcos, Texas.
He went to school at Three Rivers High School, in Three Rivers, Texas where he excelled in sports and animal showmanship. He attended Abilene Christian College and then transferred to Texas Tech University. He was an accomplished Rodeo cowboy through out college and after competing in calf roping, steer tripping, bull riding and team roping. He was a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association, Texas Rodeo Association and South Texas Rodeo Association, and will be inducted into the Rodeo Cowboy of South Texas Association in March of 2025. He was an experienced cattle rancher, welder and a jack of all trades; he could accomplish anything he put his mind to.
Scottie was preceded in death by his father, Buford Marion Dugger.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Dugger (Cecala); his children, Dawn (Jimmy) Woodin, Dusty (Ramon) Soliz, BJ (Jamie) Dugger; two brothers, Ronnie Dugger and Tommy Dugger; mother, Ida Belle Dugger; six grandchildren, Joseph Rodriguez (Holy), Haley Rodriguez, Caden Soliz, Paxton Soliz, Dylan Dugger and Davis Dugger; and two great-grandchildren, Miles and Cole Rodriguez.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Kerrville Church of Christ, 1900 Loop 534, Kerrville, TX 78028, with Scott Warner and Pastor Jacky Stephenson officiating.
