Vicky Layne Kvasnicka was called to her heavenly home July 4, 2025, just 6 days short of her 72nd birthday. We have lost our dear mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.

Vicky was born in Kermit, Texas, on July 10, 1953, to Cecil and Evelyn Odom and is the cherished twin sister to Ricky Wayne Odom. She was one of four children and shared a close bond with her sister, Sherrilyn, and brothers, Randy and Ricky. She attended Kermit High School graduating in 1971. She attended Odessa College. She worked for Gulf and Chevron in Midland, Texas before moving to Arizona. Vicky went to work for Southwest Airlines in Phoenix, Arizona. She later transferred to Midland, Texas where she continued working for Southwest Airlines until her retirement in 2022. In 2023 she moved to Kerrville, Texas to be closer to her sister.

Spending time with her grandkids and nieces and nephews gave her such joy. She traveled many a mile to attend special events. We treasure the many family snow skiing trips. Vicky also loved to cruise and was ready to go anytime – anywhere. She was a proud member of the Kerrville Host Lions Club and a supporter of the Texas Lions Camp, where she volunteered.

Also left to miss their dear friend are Bonnie and Tom McGarry and her other Southwest family.

Vicky was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Wayne Dye and Fred Kvasnicka, and her parents, Evelyn and Cecil Odom.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date with interment in Midland, TX.
