Brandon Scott Cunningham
4/17/1990 - 8/4/2025
Brandon Scott Cunningham was born on April 17, 1990, at Sid Peterson Hospital in Kerrville, Texas, and passed away on August 4, 2025.
A proud graduate of Center Point High School, Class of 2008, Brandon went on to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he studied geology—driven by a fascination with the earth and its history. At the time of his passing, Brandon was working in a managerial position at La Calabria Pizzeria and Catering in Comfort, Texas. He genuinely loved his work, especially engaging with customers. Whether he was walking someone through the menu or enthusiastically discussing the wine list (a topic he knew inside and out), Brandon had a way of making every interaction special.
One of Brandon’s greatest joys in life was acting. His acting began early, captivating his family as a child, always taking the stage in his own playful way. That early spark carried into adulthood, where he performed in productions at The Point and the Cailloux Theaters. He found joy and fulfillment in bringing characters to life and sharing that experience with others. He loved performing just as much as he loved sharing a good glass of wine.
Brandon’s life was full of hobbies and passions. He cherished his Bible study group, and recently discovered a love for pickleball—a new adventure he took on with his usual enthusiasm. He also enjoyed golfing, collecting knives and jewelry, singing karaoke, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. And if you saw him out and about, he was likely wearing one of his beloved Irish flat caps—always looking dapper and confident.
Brandon’s charm, humor and quirks made him unforgettable to all who knew him. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, heard, and appreciated. His dynamic personality shone through in the things he loved and the people he cared about.
Brandon will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched. His family describes him best: “He was the most giving and caring individual—ever.”
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, M.C. and Catherine Humphrey, John and Esther Magnuson, Bessie Star Coldwell; aunt, Lisa Lynn May; uncle, Mark Sweat; and great-aunt and uncles, Roger and Jean Goertz.
