Lois Reese Charter

Lois Reese Charter passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. She was 91 years old. A life well lived and well loved.

Lois was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 29, 1934. The youngest of 9 siblings, she was affectionately known as Lo, and was much loved by her brothers and sisters.

She was married to Bobbie Charter, and spent almost 50 years together. They had a wonderful life together, full of laughter and traveling, their favorite destination being anywhere warm with a beach.

Lois was an RN, who practiced and excelled in a variety of settings. She retired from the Kerrville VA Hospital after almost 45 years of nursing service.

Lois is survived by daughter, Kelli (Bill) Crawford of Kerrville, TX; daughter, Kathi (Dan) Kuykendall of Hunt, TX; grandson, Chad Crawford (Sommer Saenz) of Austin, TX; grandson, Cody (Patricia) Crawford of Lynnwood, WA; great-grandchildren, Adalene, Sedona and Christian Crawford.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all of the caregivers at New Haven Memory Care and Peterson Hospice.
