William Kenneth Clark

William Kenneth Clark, 95, of Kerrville, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. He was born December 3, 1930, at Yale University Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, to Dr. Kenneth Gross Clark and Vivian Gladys Shiffler Clark.
He attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, D.C. He graduated from Purdue University in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and also attended the USAF Radar Maintenance School in Biloxi, Mississippi.
William married his high school sweetheart, Emily Ann Reynolds, in 1960.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force Reserve from 1954 to 1967, with active duty from 1954 to 1956. He was stationed in Morocco with the 316th Air Division and the 735th ACWRON, specializing in radar maintenance and communications/electronics. He was honorably discharged in 1967 with the rank of Captain and was affiliated with the Air Force Association, American Legion, and VFW.
William worked as a test engineer for Potomac Electric Power in Washington, D.C., and the Naval Ordnance Laboratory in White Oak, Maryland. He spent the majority of his career with Dresser Industries, Inc. from 1954 to 1992, serving in various sales and marketing roles in New York City, Philadelphia, and Houston. His leadership roles included District Sales Manager, Product Manager, Regional Sales Manager, General Marketing Manager, and Manager of Business Planning. He worked with divisions including Root-Connersville Blower, Clark Bros., Dresser Measurement, Pacific Pumps, and Waukesha Engine & Environmental Products. He retired in September 1992.
He also taught courses in gas measurement at industry schools sponsored by Iowa State University, Texas A&I University, the University of West Virginia, McGill University, and for the Institute of Gas Technology in Algeria. He was a member of several professional organizations, including ASME, API, Southern Gas Association, Midwest Gas Association, American Gas Association, and IGT.
In retirement, William and his wife Emily moved to Kerrville, Texas, in 1992. He served on the Board of Directors of his condo association for nearly 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily R. Clark and sister, Jane Claybrook.
He is survived by his daughter, Katherine C. Van Dyke (Adrian) of Lafayette, Louisiana; his grandson, A. Crispin Van Dyke (Sarah); his granddaughter, Katherine M. Van Dyke de Ceballos (Alan); and his great grandchildren, Cole Vidrine, Adrian Van Dyke, Clark Ceballos, William Ceballos, Lillian Ceballos and other loved extended family members.
The family will have a celebration of life at a future date.
