The world became a brighter place on August 12, 1953, the day that beloved husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle, and friend, Marion Wetherbee Jack Bell Jr. was born to parents Marion Wetherbee Jack Bell and Janell MacDonald Bell. Jack sadly passed away on May 13, 2022 after running out of jokes to tell.

Jack grew up in beautiful Rancho Palos Verdes, California. As senior team captain of his high schools wrestling team in 1971, Jack led his team to win first place. He went on to wrestle at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California, as well as get his degree in Industrial Arts at California State University, Long Beach. After college, he continued his love for wrestling by coaching for the high school in San Jose, California, where he also taught art, wood working, and math. As he got older and had children, he spent much of his time coaching and being team dad for their soccer and baseball teams. Jack was creative and innovative, he used his skills for many years as a successful furniture designer in Riverside, California. One of his favorite pastimes and ways to entertain was to play the harmonica.

He loved every moment being around his family and friends. Jack had a passion for making people laugh and always being the life of the party. Jack was known for his quick wit, larger than life personality, and inappropriate jokes.

His great, big, fun spirit is carried on by his wife, Linda, 4 children, Gina (Jonathan) , Thompson (Marilynn), David, Stacy (Matthew), 3 grandchildren, Emma, Liliana, Baby Warren, 5 siblings Jan Jones (Jerry), David Bell (Stacey), Heather Wheeler (Gerry), Rebecca Butler (Steve), Diana Bacheller (John), many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Meeting the love of his life, Linda, at Ports O' Call in San Pedro at the Crusty Crab in 1983 (then like the crazy kids they were, running off to Vegas six short months later to elope) and spending a great deal of time out on his sailboat, the water has significant meaning to him and his family. To honor Jack's memory, we are holding a celebration of his life on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 9 am at 429 Shoreline Village Dr. Long Beach, California 90802 with Spirit Cruise. The Bell family kindly asks guests planning on attending Jack's sea ceremony to arrive 15-30 minutes early due to embarkation purposes.

I will miss Mr. Bell and his loving ways. I met him when his daughter Stacy and my daughter Jasmine met in school. I will remember how loving he was to his wife and children but most of all his grandkids. He is one special person who I will remember for being such a great human being. May he Rest In Peace . 🙏♥️
