Gary Michael Clymans, 71, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away at home on November 5, 2022. He was born in Oklahoma on October 21, 1951.

Gary's preceded in death by his parents, C.W. and Glenda M. Clymans; stepmother, F. Louise Clymans; Aunt Virginia Clymans; and grandparents, Clarence and Maude Clymans.

Gary attended schools in Oklahoma. He served in the National Guard.

Gary married his wife in May of 1975. They had on their wedding invitations this vow: To have and to hold from this day forward for better for worse for richer for poorer in sickness or in health to love and to cherish till death do us part. I am happy to say we did it.

He worked in the Automobile Industry. He had a natural ability selling and training others along the way on the techniques of closing the deal. He was a believer in doing it honestly.

Gary had a love for both golf and tennis. He was a natural at both sports. He has the trophies to prove it.

He loved animals and was a voice for them.

Gary loved his family and friends, and people he had never met he could strike up a conversation without a beat. Oh, the stories along his journey he could tell. Should have authored a book. He enjoyed his walk along life's path. We are all only here for a brief time and he wanted to enjoy every minute. He loved to laugh and make you laugh.

Gary's survived by his wife, Mary (Kay) Clymans; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Dale Ivy; sister-in-law, Rolanda Shrader; nephew and wife, Jason and Jamie Shrader and their children, Elle, Emme, Erin, Trenton, and Everson; nephew, Jeff Shrader and his children, Jared, Cameron, and Ashley; niece and husband, Jennifer and Scott Durham and their children, Tyler, Kate, and Brant.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made in honor of Gary M. Clymans go to the following organizations: Kathleen C. Cailloux (NO KILL) Humane Society www.humanesocietyofkerrville.com; K9s For Warriors (K9FW) (Majority of dogs coming from high kill rescue shelters) donorservices@k9sforwarriors.org; or the ASPCA American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, aspca.org.

Special thanks to all our family and friends along with Peterson Home Care, Peterson Providers at Home/Palliative and Alamo Hospice during our time of need. You all went beyond for us.

Gary and Kay were our neighbors in the villas before we moved down the road full time . We shared the love of animals especially cats and for awhile I was the babysitter of their cats . Gary was a very kind loving man and our hearts are saddened by his passing . He did love stories to tell and he was a very sincere man. I know Kay you lost your soul mate and we know you will miss him . He is no longer suffering and is at peace .

Gary and I were friends for 40+ years - we first became acquainted when he was the GM of the Cadillac store in El Paso and followed each others careers and family over the years.

We shared a lot of great stories and cheered for each others College teams (except when his Sooners played my Red Raiders)

Gary and Kay hosted us at their home a number of times and we spent some late nights reminiscing and sharing.

Gary and I were like brothers for many years and I will miss him deeply.

I hope Kay will find some comfort reading these tributes on Gary's guestbook - Kay, the love of your life was a great friend to many and the rare person who seemed to never speak badly about anyone, always pushing back with a kind remark.

When we have the opportunity to gather in remembrance for Gary - it will be filled with great stories and laughter - we all have much to celebrate in Gary's life.

God Bless!

Dear Kay,
Gary was a client and friend of mine when he was on the Board of Directors of the West Texas Cadillac Dealers years ago. We remained friends when you moved to Denver and he was managing the Buick dealership. We lost track of each other the past 20 years after I closed my business and retired. All of a sudden a few weeks ago, he was in my thoughts. I feel badly that we did not stay in touch. He was a lovely man in many ways. He had a great sense of humor and people gravitated towards him because he was authentic and sincere. He touched many peoples' lives. I imagine he has earned a high place in heaven surrounded by loved ones and many heavenly animals. God Bless You and Gary. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Linda Dauro

To the Clymans family, we send all of our love, sympathy, and condolences for the loss of our friend. I met Gary through PassTime and found that we had traveled the same ground and knew some of the same people in Denver. We laughed and joked about the restaurants we visited and people that we met in common. I was immediately taken with Gary and totally concur that he is that type of man that you felt immediately comfortable with, and like you had known forever. My life has been forever enhanced having met Gary. Rest In Power, until we meet again. Wishing solace and love to the family. We have so much to celebrate from the life that Gary lived, and know that the world is so much the better for experiencing his presence. Much love, peace and comfort as you grieve the loss of an exceptional man.

Kay this beautiful. Gary was such an amazing man. Caring, generous and of course the life of the party. So many special memories spent together telling stories and laughing our heads off. We will all miss him dearly. A spirit that left this earth much to soon. All of our love to you dear Kay.

Kay I loved the way Gary loved you, provided, cared and his devotion to you was beautiful. He is missed by all who knew him. The LORD blessed me with a memory of seeing Gary just a few weeks before he died. And, what a honor and privilege it was to share and pray for him, acknowledging Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. Jesus laid his life down for all at Calvary and all we need to do is receive this free gift of eternal life. I believe Phil was one of those who welcomed Gary home. After Jesus of course. šŸ‘šŸ¼ Kay the Lord Jesus is and will see you through the difficult days. Love ā¤ļø you and praying for you. Rolanda
