Natalie S. Fagarason, 89, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023 in San Antonio, TX. Natalie was a longtime Kerrville resident for the past 28 years. She was born in Chicago, IL and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1952. She was employed as a medical assistant for several physicians in the Chicago area, and it was during this time when she met her future husband, Lawrence (Larry) Fagarason. Shortly after their wedding on June 20, 1959, Larry joined the Army and Natalie began fulfilling her duties as a military wife. At times Natalie took on the role of both parents in raising the children as Larry completed two tours of Vietnam in addition to numerous temporary duty assignments. At each of their Army post assignments Natalie was very involved in various activities such as the Officer's Wives Organization, church groups, and school PTA activities while raising five children. She also enjoyed many years as an active member in the Doctor's Wives Auxiliary, Garden Club and Book Club while later living in Baytown.

Natalie and Larry retired to Kerrville, TX in 1995 where they were founding members of the Kerr County Cactus and Succulent Society. She enjoyed attending numerous concerts at Cailloux Theater, was an avid reader, enjoyed her daily morning coffee and crossword puzzle, and also took pleasure in hosting annual Superbowl parties at her home for friends and neighbors.

Natalie is survived by her daughters Laura Johnston, Andrea Maldonado (Rick), Amy Recer (Brent), Lisa Harris (Richard) and son Michael Fagarason (Janeth). She was blessed with three grandchildren, Erin Lara (Chris), Zachary Recer (Veronica), Kelly Harris, and three great grandchildren Izaac Recer, Nate Recer and Sabrina Lara. Natalie also leaves behind her beloved cat, Rusty.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, with Rosary following at 6 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Deacon Sonny Kaufhold.

Mass will be held at 10 AM, Friday, November 17, 2023 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Rafal Duda as celebrant.

Our family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Christus Santa Rosa ICU and Vitas Hospice in San Antonio, TX for the excellent care they provided for our Mom.
