Esther Marie ''Ree'' Baker, 84, of Kerrville, TX, peacefully passed away on January 24, 2024. She was born July 3, 1939, in San Angelo, TX to the late Eppie Jean Holland and Ernest Roy Holland and was raised in Miles, TX.

The family will receive friends on January 28th from 5 pm to 7 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville.

Graveside Service will be held January 29th at 2 pm at the Nichols Cemetery in Ingram.

Ree met the love of her life, Henry Baker, on a blind date in San Angelo, TX in 1957. Nineteen days after their first date, they said, ''I Do" and spent the next 61 years side by side. One of her favorite things was being called ''Granny.'' Every chance she had, she doted on her grandkids and great-grandkids. They were her joy. Ree loved playing pranks on people. If she could get a smile or laugh out of you, she would be happy. A few of her favorite hobbies were painting, crafts, and decorating.

She is survived by her children, Renea Hipp and husband Barry of Granbury, TX, Gene Baker and wife Johnita of Granbury, TX, Shelly Dreyer and husband Darren of Kerrville, TX; grandchildren, Dusty Lann and husband Rainey, Corey Hipp and wife Andrea, Haley Alaride and husband Mo, Corina Huffman and husband Shane, Candace Fogle and husband Matt; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Jay Holland; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Henry Baker; her parents; her sister, Sue Miller; and her brother, Bill Holland.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Peterson Hospice, Kerrville, TX.
