Tim Benson, 65 of Kerrville, Texas, entered into eternal peace in a San Antonio hospital surrounded by his loving family on February 2, 2024.

Tim was the 4th son born to Henry ''Bo'' Benson and Genevieve Payne Benson.

Tim graduated from Tivy High School in 1977. Tim had an insatiable love for sports, especially football. His favorite story was of him and classmate, Arnold Smith, Jr. The story goes per Tim, ''Just throw it A. J. and I'll be there!'' His other love besides his family was his Harley Davidson 1200 and his green 1998 GMC truck who he affectionately called ''Money'' and let us not forget Jimi Hendrix. At last count, he had well over 30 Jimi Hendrix t-shirts.

Tim was a hard worker and worked for Agua Utilities for 17 years until forced to retire due to medical issues. His most memorable trait was if he liked you, you were gifted by some type of nickname.

Tim was predeceased by his father, Henry ''Bo'' Benson, Sr.; sister, Anna Maire Fitzhugh; and brother and best friend, Marty ''Eli'' Benson.

Tim leaves to morn, his loving mother, Genevieve Benson; devoted wife, Wanda Benson; son, Jonathon Craig Benson; daughters, Timesha McPlesant, Timeka Rodriguez and Cynthia Athon Benson-Booker (Daniel); sister, Lucinda ''Cindy'' Duckworth; brothers, Henry ''Bo-Bo'' Benson (Adella), Albert ''A.B.'' Benson, John Kennedy ''Kenny'' Benson and Roy Tyrone Benson (Juanita); 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held for Tim on March 9th at the Dietert Center from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. We invited anyone who knew Tim to attend. Not required, but we are asking any attendees to wear his favorite colors of green or purple.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
