Anita "Annie" Tomasita Davila passed away peacefully on February 11th, 2024, at the age of 95 in Weatherford, Texas. Born on July 13, 1928, in Kerrville, Texas, Annie was the beloved daughter of Benita Collazo Juarez and Santos Juarez.

Annie was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, cherishing her family above all else. She resided at Westfork Assisted Living, in Weatherford, Texas, where she formed deep connections with both the residents and staff. The staff Considered her a mom, grandmother and great-grandmother to them and their children who came to visit. She looked forward to the weekly adventures in town.

Annie is survived by her two sons: Ezequiel J. Davila III (Kiki), his wife Jan and their children Wesley, Annetta, Nicholas, James, and Trey; Fernando Davila (Freddy), his wife Sandy and their children Rachel, Julie, and Cari; and loving sister, Nadine.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ezequiel T. Davila Jr.; children: daughters, Martha Ann Vargas who is survived by her sons, Henry, and Rene' Vargas and Rosie Magana who is survived by her children, Martha, Nichole, Sammy, Becky, and Gabe.

Throughout her life, Annie embarked on various career paths, leaving a lasting impact on each endeavor. She spent ten years at Mooney Aircraft and another ten years at James Avery Jewelry. Annie's caring nature led her to work at the State Hospital until her well-deserved retirement. Annie found solace in her faith and was an active member of Note Dame Catholic Church and St. Steven's. Her spirituality provided her with strength and guidance throughout her life.

In her free time, Annie indulged in her favorite hobbies, including the golf card game, reading, crocheting, crafting, quilting, and spending quality time with friends and family. She taught quilting and crocheting to fellow residents. She also became an Ambassador of the facility which welcomed new residents making them feel welcomed and at home.

Rosary will be held at 6 PM, Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Mass will be held at 9 AM, Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Annie's favorite charity, the American Cancer Society, in her memory.

Annie's genuine love for her family, friends, and community will be deeply missed. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

I worked with Annie at James Avery Jewelry during my high school years and again worked with her at the Kerrville State Hospital she was a dedicated employee and assisted us in the office duties. May God embrace Annie lovingly in eternal life and bring peace and comfort to family and friends. RIP my friend!
