He went to high school at Fargo South in Fargo, North Dakota and then went on to graduate from MAVTI in Moorhead, MN. He started working as an electrician for Parsons Electric and was there for 25 years. In Kerrville, he worked for DW Electric since September 2022.
He was preceded in death by infant twins, Michael Richard and Lisa Marie; his parents; and sister, Rosa Gonzales.
Survivors include wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Jennifer Mendoza-Conyers (James) of Pasadena, MD and Catherine Mendoza of Dallas, TX; sisters, Sylvia Mendoza of Kerrville, TX and Mariana Mendoza of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Julia Marie and Owen James Conyers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 5-7pm Thursday May 16, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
The funeral will be held at 10am Friday May 17, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Mendoza family-We are so very sorry to hear of Benito’s passing. He was such a kind man and we always enjoyed our visits with him. He was always willing to help us with his professional knowledge on so many occasions throughout the years. But most of all he was a friend… A friend that we will miss! May he rest in peace. You are all in our thoughts and prayers as you navigate this difficult time.

My favorite brother, my friend I will forever miss you. I will also miss our conversations, our recent adventures and the good times we shared together.
