Gracien ''Chan'' Ramos, of Kerrville, TX, passed away on May 31st, 2024 in San Antonio, TX. A treasured resident of Kerrville, TX since 1998, Mr. Ramos was born on November 20th, 1951 in Odessa, TX to Benito and Theresa Ramos. During his time in Odessa, he attended Ector High and then college at Odessa College. He went on to marry Dolores M. Ramos on May 15th, 1989 in Dallas, TX before settling in the wonderful Hill Country of Kerrville, TX.

During his time in Kerrville, he worked for and retired from Schreiner University as a Library Coordinator in April of 2020 all the while being a cherished member of Notre Dame Catholic Church. His love for music was shared at the Doyle Community Center where he would often join other local musicians in volunteering their time and talents to bring the community closer together.

Chan was preceded in death by Theresa and Benito Ramos.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Dolores; his daughter, Teresa and son-in-law Jason McHalffey; and his son, Gracien M. Ramos.

Visitation will be 4PM-6PM on Tuesday June 4th at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Rosary will be 1:30PM on Wednesday June 5th at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Wednesday June 5th at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Doyle Community Center in Kerrville, TX.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Anil R. Singh and the nursing staff at Texas Oncology, Dr. Ildefonso Ismael Rodriguez and staff at Next Oncology, Dr. Nathan Bernal and all of the nurses and staff at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital Medical Center, Father Alberto Colin Marin and Sister Guillermina of St. Jude Church in San Antonio.
