Bobbi Fay Pruneda, 87, of Hunt, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, surrounded by her family in Kerrville. She was born at Spanish Fort, Texas to Bob and Lola Faye Dillard on June 25, 1937. She married Joe M. Pruneda, Jr. (Junior), on March 21, 1958, in Kerrville.

Bobbi went to school at St. Gerard Catholic School in San Antonio. Bobbi was a recording artist and songwriter when the family lived in Nashville. Performing as a vocalist alongside her husband for many years was her joy and she was able to do this for her lifetime. She was a member of the Hill Country Arts Foundation and there she pursued her lifelong passion for painting and sketching. Bobbi enjoyed doing life sketches of many people, but she was particularly keen on sketching her favorites…. her grandchildren. For several years, Bobbi participated in play productions at The Point Theater as a cast member. She was a marvelous cook and it was always a big affair at her home during Christmas when she would play Mrs. Claus!

Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Lola Fay Dillard and her stepfather, Jimmy Meyer; her brother, Vance (Butch) Dillard; and her daughter, Tammy Slaughter.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Pruneda, Jr., and their children: Joe M. Pruneda III, M.D.; his daughters, Corley Pruneda, M.D and Maria Pruneda; their mother Belinda Bee Pruneda, Tammy's children Megan Wood, Savannah Slaughter and Sierra Slaughter, and Kimberly (Pinga) Pruneda; her children, Michael Wheat, Anthony Garza and Crissandra Whitman and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00-7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, 728 Jefferson Street, Kerrville, Texas.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 30, 2024, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 909 Main Street, Kerrville, Texas. Private family burial to follow at Hunt-Japonica Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Wheat, Anthony Garza, J. Rod Fry, Vic Garrett, Bill Bacon and Fabian Villasana.

Memorials may be given to the Hill Country Arts Foundation or the charity of one's choice.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Jim Young, Peterson Hospice and caregivers at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation.

It was a pleasure to know Bobbi for the few years our lives crossed paths . We traded violin lessons for hair styling lessons. My condolences to the family.
