David A. Jordan, 63, of Center Point, graduated from his earthly life into his Lord's presence on August 24 in Kerrville with his wife by his side. He was born in Dallas, and adopted by Gary Jordan and Rita Carolyn Burk. He married Erin Ewing on May 17, 2003 in Denton, Texas.

He graduated from Denton High School in 1979, worked as a machinist at Andrew corporation for 24 years and for an additional 15 years at various companies including Saur Machining in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Dave loved people and he loved to make them laugh. If there was a social gathering, family or friends, rest assured that he would bring the laughs. It brought him great joy to lift people's spirits.

The most important topic of discussion for Dave was his faith in Christ. In his single years he journeyed with Denton Bible Church on many short term missions to Russia, Brazil and Venezuela. He loved sharing the gospel home and abroad.

During his final year he wrote a book about how he came to faith and experiences that had a great impact on his life. It is titled Waters of Judgement, and will be available soon.

He was preceded in death by his father, his brother, Tod, his Aunt Linda, and his mother.

He is survived by his wife, Erin; his son and daughter-in-law Jerry Wayne and Hannah Jordan; his little sister and brother-in-law, Kelli and Randy Walker; his brother Casey Jordan; nieces Jill Walker, Amber Jordan and Deiah Jordan; and nephews Jace Walker, Jack Walker and wife Alyssa.

A celebration of his life and his mother's life will be at the chapel at Denton Bible Church on Friday, September 6 at 2pm with Brian Leicht officiating.
