Gary Tedford Canning, 90, of Houston, TX, passed away on September 3, 2024, in Kerrville, TX. He was born on August 26th, 1934, to Elizabeth and Wilfred Canning.
He is survived by his son, Terry and his wife America; his daughter, Garrilynn and her husband Richard; his daughter, Melody; his brother, Wilfred Canning Jr.; as well as his grandchildren, Josh McGinty and his wife Tori McGinty, Matthew Merrow, Sydney Merrow, Sharon Canning, Elizabeth Canning; and his great-grandchildren, Reed McGinty, Jaylie Merrow and Matthew Merrow Jr.
Visitation will be 3-6 PM Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Harper, TX, with Father Rudy officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Anthony Cemetery.

We, The Garcia Family as well as Our Grandchildren Lily and Jesse Rodriguez had the honor of seeing Mr. Canning every Sunday at Church with His two Granddaughters & it was such a joy seeing someone who loved their Grandchildren as much as My Husband Alfredo and Myself His wife Blanca Love our's!
