Deborah Cooley, 71, of Kerrville, passed away on October 10, 2024, in Kerrville. She was born in Savannah, Georgia to Henry Jarrell Baker Jr. and Rita Merle (Lambert) Baker. She married Kevin Cooley on December 31, 1983.

She went to school at Richard King High School in Corpus Christi. She worked as an Aviation Insurance Broker, most recently at Falcon Insurance Agency in Kerrville for over 10 years. She was a Children's church teacher at Friendship Baptist Church in Waller, TX for many years. She was a lover of animals, and a genuinely kindhearted soul.

Debi was preceded in death by her Father, Henry J. Baker Jr. and her Mother, Rita Merle Baker.

Survivors include the love of her life and Husband of 40 years, Kevin Cooley; Favorite and only Son, Jon Ryan Cooley; Absolutely Awesome Daughter-in-Law, Selena Cooley; Adored Grandson, Dillon, and Twin Texas Tornadoes (Granddaughters), Mollee and Zoey; her beloved Golden Retriever, Sampson and the little Heinz 57, Mr. Peabody.

Visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville, with Pastor John Wheat officiating.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the The Biggs Institute for Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Diseases, Dr. Maggie Gainer, Peterson Home Health and Hospice, Trinity Baptist Church, and all of the Bear Hollow Neighbors for their help, prayer, and support.

Dear Kevin, JR and family,
Chris and I were so sorry to hear about Deb. She was always such a kind, compassionate and caring woman of God. Our family has so many incredible memories of our times together.
