Vincent Benedict Durbin Jr., a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Kerrville, Texas, at the age of 59. Born on February 9, 1965, Vince was a lifelong resident of Kerrville, where he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and generosity.

Vince's heart belonged to Donna Durbin, with whom he shared a profound love that blossomed on the dance floor. Their first dance felt like destiny, and they continued to cherish many moments together, reveling in the joy of each other's company.

He was the proud father of Vincent Benedict Durbin III, affectionately known as Treyce. Vince also embraced his role as a stepfather to Abby Winn and her husband, Wilson, and he adored their two sons, William and Keaton. He held a special place in his heart for his sons Luke and Ross MacDowall, who were part of his life in meaningful ways. To his mother, Margaret Durbin, he remained ''Mom's little fella'' throughout his life. Vince was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Benedict Durbin Sr.

Vince is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his son, Treyce; his mother, Margaret; stepdaughter Abby and her husband Wilson, along with their sons William and Keaton; and his sisters Letitia Durbin Smith and Sharon Durbin.

Vince was known for his charm, caring nature, and an infectious sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. He loved singing karaoke, often bringing friends and family together with his performances. A man of faith, he also sought to support others in his community, briefly serving as a youth leader.

A graduate of Winston Churchill High School in 1983, Vince spent 37 years working at Alterman Electric, where he rose to the rank of Journeyman and was an active member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

In his younger years, he enjoyed the thrill of bull riding and cherished the peaceful moments spent hunting and fishing with Treyce.

Vince's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, from 5 to 7 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 17, at 10:30 AM at Calvary Temple Church, followed by burial at the Garden of Memories.

Pallbearers will include Treyce Durbin, Dwayne Haskett, Dean Dermody, Lewis Cannon, Steve Furbush, and Pete Groff.
