It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Allen Dwain Duncan on October 29, 2024 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born to Allen and Aubrey Duncan in San Angelo, Texas, December 19, 1961 and was their pride and joy.

Raised by the community of Uvalde, Dwain graduated Uvalde High School, class of 1980, where he showed his leadership and athleticism in football, baseball, and golf, and 4H. He attended A&M and southwest Texas junior college. Over his years, Dwain wore many hats before finding his match in the food and healthcare industry. He had a passion for grilling and cooking and would often recall stories of being in this kitchen with his mother and grandmothers. It was from them that Dwain learned about cooking but also how to love and care for people, something for which he was well known as he touched so many lives throughout his years. Notably, Dwain spent 17 years working for the Kerrville VA, and received the Honor of Blue Star for his steadfast dedication to the veterans.

Beyond everything, Dwain was devoted to family, friends, and living in the moment often in nature, preferably by a body of water. He was preceded in death by his dearly loved mother Aubrey Williams Duncan.
He leaves his love with his wife and companion for 34 years Shelia Duncan, daughters Riley Garcia and husband Travis, Sarah Jane Keller and husband Reiner Engebretson, son Mark Duncan, and precious granddaughter Geri Ray Garcia.

Dwain was an incredible man, father, and friend seemingly in the right place at the right time for a speech, life lesson, or to lend an ear. Dwain also leaves behind countless friends from coast to coast to which he wishes much love and peace.
