Beau Eldred Sutherland, 82, of Kerrville, passed away on April 21, 2025. He was born in San Antonio to G.C. and Sibyl Sutherland on August 26, 1942. He was married to Victoria Sutherland and they lived happily at the family ranch.

Beau was a Tivy High School graduate and captain of the Tennis team all 4 years. He won the Texas State Doubles Championship in May 1960 and continued playing tennis at Texas Tech achieving the Southwest Conference Championship in 1962. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1964. After a time as a tennis pro, he became a US Customs agent where he worked for 22 years. He enjoyed history, all forms of games, movies, and soaking in the beauty of the hill country with his dogs.

Beau was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Heather, and his brother Stacy.

Survivors include his wife, Victoria, his children Anjanette Hodsdon, Todd and Heather Sutherland, Tiffany and James Thomas, Ryan Sutherland, and April Dilliard. His surviving grandchildren include Austin Kinney, Garrett Hodsdon, Shelby Hodsdon, Haden Sutherland, Sage Thomas, Maile Thomas, Keegan Thomas, Claire Sutherland and Oliver Dilliard, as well as great-grandchildren Riley Hodsdon and Dawson Foehser. Surviving nieces and nephews include Jared Davis, Corey Davis, Lyndsey Hawkes, Chase Davis and Skyler Davis.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

Beau was a dear friend. We were classmates for 12 years. He was a dear sweet,smart caring friend and wonderful tennis player. You will be missed but looking forward to the day we meet up again. You fought many health battles

Beau was a terrific classmate at Tivy Hight School. Beau was an active Student Council member and an outstanding tennis player. Above all, Beau was so kind, helpful, generous and a gentleman.
