We both have so very many fond memories of Duren from our days at the Chas. Schreiner Bank as coworkers, but more importantly as friends. He always searched for the best in everyone and could always find a silver lining to any situation. If you were having a bad day or just needed an attitude adjustment, Duren was the man who could always make your stormy day bright again through his quick wit and hearty laugh.
We are so sorry for your loss and pray that each of you feel God's comfort during this time.

My dear friends,
What an incredible man your Duren was, and what a loss this is to all who were blessed to know him. I cannot think of my childhood at FUMC without images of him serving, singing in the choir, cooking for MYF, or always being welcome in your home. I pray God would wrap you each in a blanket of His love, peace, comfort, and strength. My love to you all.

I served with Duren in the US Air Force at Kelly AFB in 1960
and 1961. My wife and I got in touch with Duren and Sharon
a couple of years ago and enjoyed going out to eat and
reminiscing. We last visited a couple of weeks ago in
Boerne. So very sorry for your loss.

Working with Duren years ago was such a great experience. He was one of the most kind people and extremely knowledgeable! May our Lord wrap His loving arms around your family during this difficult time.
