Opal Wadene Lyle, passed away in Bulverde, Texas on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 95. Wadene was a long-time resident of Kerrville, Texas. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Wadene was born in Schertz, Texas on December 5, 1930, to Opal Ann Perry and Wade Orlando Perry. She graduated from High School in Alice, Texas and spent her working life in home products sales. She thoroughly enjoyed life, loved people, her family and the Texas Hill Country.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wade Perry; mother, Ann Perry; her brothers, Edgar Perry and Larry Perry; her sons, Conrad ''Chunk'' Evetts and Timothy Evetts.
Wadene leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Tab Evetts and his wife Marlene; her son, Darryl Evetts and his wife Debra; and her daughter, Opal Wadene ''Dena'' McDonald and her husband Kevin; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels located at 728 Jefferson St., Kerrville, Texas 78028, Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 2pm. Interment will follow at Turtle Creek Cemetery.
Friends and Family are invited to ''Celebrate Wadene's Life'' following the memorial service at Turtle Creek Community Church, 130 Molina, Kerrville, Texas 78028.
