With a heavy heart, I'm sharing the passing of Bobby Don Wooten. Born In San Angelo, TX, in 1958, and joined Heaven with his mother, father, brother, sister and grandparents on March 16, 2026.

He spent his career painting, restoring and towing vehicles. He was passionate and dedicated to his craft while raising his daughter in Kerrville.

Everyone who knew him knew he loved restoring trucks and talking about them. In fact, driving was one his favorite things to do. He spent the last few years of his life living next to the Guadalupe River in Spring Branch, Texas. He never got to fish here like he wanted, but he loved the spot.

Battling the odds against kidney cancer, he still managed to find the strength to want to drive and spend time with his grandkids. He also loved his two dogs, Bubba and T-Bone.

A strong man with a gentle, giving heart, my dad lived a life that truly mattered. He stood firm in his faith, led with love and showed strength not just in what he carried, but in how deeply he cared for others.

Though he is no longer with us, his strength and kindness will forever guide us. With family and many friends who loved him, he can now drive off into the sunset of heaven.

His life was a blessing, a gift and his memory will always be our strength. He'll be laid to rest in Pontotoc, TX, next to his father, brother and grandfather.

May his faithful soul be departed in peace, now and forever. Drive on, Dad.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Bobby was a good man who cared for others. He spoke kind things to me of my dad, James B. Goss, and I so appreciated it. I know he will be missed, but I am glad he is no longer suffering. May the Lord give you a peace within your heart that is beyond your understanding.
