Thomas James BelichickI am a Veteran.
5/21/1947 - 5/17/2024

Tom was born in Youngstown Ohio on May 21st, 1947. He played sports and studied hard. Growing up Tom and his brother Frank became lifelong best friends getting into more trouble together than you can imagine. A highlight of their childhood included the times spent "working" at old man Zedaker's.

He turned down an art scholarship at the University of Connecticut but with guidance from Roger Staubach, Joe Bellino and his Uncle Steve Belichick he was appointed to and graduated from the U. S. Naval Academy, Annapolis in 1969. After graduation he served tours on the west coast, and the Philippines with the defense department, he resigned commision, trying out grad school.

Soon tiring of that regimen he left San Diego and moved to the "mother lode" gold country of Northern California and became an underground miner. After many years of mining, heavy equipment construction, consulting, residential building and remodeling he settled in Fulton to pursue a less strenuous life.

In Fulton, Tx Tom met his wife Karen. In Fulton he was encouraged artistically and developed his copper tiles and imprinting style (grandad was a black smith). Not only did Tom make art with copper he was also a skilled woodworker making any and everything with an emphasis on functionality. While living in South Texas Tom became an avid boater. He enjoyed beach combing, and scuba diving with his wife Karen.

Tom and Karen moved to the Hill Country of Texas in 2021. He enjoyed the scenery of his back porch. Tom and Karen spent most days out at the "ranch" in Mountain Home, Texas. This was a space where Tom could tinker in his shop, drive around working on his John Deer tractor, enjoying the flowers, birds, trees and rugged nature of the gulches. Tom passed on May 17, 2024 at home. Tom was four days short of his 77th Birthday.

Go Navy beat Army!
