Lydia V. Gonzales, age 88 of Kerrville, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 in a local hospital. She was born July 2, 1926 in Kerrville to Emilio and Jesusa Ayala Vargas. \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Antonio Gonzales.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include sons, Ernest Gonzales (Yolanda) and Jimmy Gonzales, brother, Pedro Vargas (Mary), all of Kerrville; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nShe was a homemaker and member of Notre Dame Catholic Church.\r\n \r\nRecitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, February 10, 2015, 7 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Deacon Sonny Kaufhold.\r\n \r\nMass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015, 10 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Monsignor Mike Boulette as celebrant.
