Marvin E. Kneese, age 82 of Kerrville, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 in a local hospital. He was born February 10, 1933 in Fredericksburg, TX to Harry and Emma (Ketron) Kneese. On July 24, 1955, he married Marietta Mechler at the St. Marys Catholic Church in Fredericksburg.\r\n \r\nMarvin served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Kerrville State Hospital, then the Kerrville VA Hospital as a nurses aide.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by brother, Leroy Kneese; and grandson, Scott Alan Kneese.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include wife, Marietta Kneese of Kerrville; sons, Phillip Scott Kneese and wife, Nancy of Connecticut, Gary Glenn Kneese and wife, Linda of Kerrville and Rick Kneese of Boerne; brother, Alton Kneese and wife, Florene of Kerrville; sister in law, Della Mae Kneese of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Carey Kneese, Neeley Kneese and Kelsey Kneese Jarrett; and great grandchildren, Mya and Marcus.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held Monday, August 17, 2015, 10 AM at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.\r\n
