Mr. Samuel Garrett Cox, Jr., age 88 of Kerrville, TX passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 in a Kerrville hospital. He was born November 26, 1926 in LaFeria, TX to Samuel Garrett Cox, Sr. and Violet Massey Cox. He served in the US Navy in World War II. He was employed in maintenance engineering for the Texas Highway Department prior to retirement. He was a member of Western Hills Baptist Church.\r\n He married Joyce Aillen Davis on July 24, 1965 in Pharr, TX. She survives along with his children, Robbie Luitjen (Craig) of Boerne, TX; Shirley Sirmon of Kerrville; Bernice Price (Ronnie) of Ingram, TX; Russell Cox (Barbara) of Kerrville and Samuel Cox, III of Idaho; ten grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. He is also survived by Jimmy Dickey.\r\n Graveside services for Mr. Cox will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery with Frank Pullin officiating.\r\n In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Western Hills Baptist Church Missions Fund.\r\n
