Dorothy May Mazurek Thies was received by the Lord on April 3, 2016, at the VITAS Hospice unit in Carrollton, Texas. She was born November 14, 1917 in Victoria, Texas to Walter and Ragna Haggard. She had been widowed to two wonderful husbands, Edward Mazurek and Raymond Thies during her time with us here. \r\n\r\nShe constantly provided joy and wisdom to those who knew her and that remained true until her final few days. She will be missed dearly.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her son, Ronald Mazurek and wife Kathy, of Byrdstown, TN; grandson Edward Duke Mazurek Jr. and wife, Yvonne, of Krum, TX; stepson, Raymond Rocky Thies II and wife Carrie; and six grandchildren Tripp, Jeremiah, Chad and Jed Mazurek, Melissa Grey, Angus and Austin Thies.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Friday, April 8, 2016, at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Kerrville, TX. Graveside service will be held 10 AM, Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in San Antonio, TX and a Memorial Service will follow at 12:30 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Center Point, TX.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, those who desire may make memorial contributions to First Baptist Church, 104 Ave C, Center Point, TX 78010.
