Janet Sharp, age 61 of Kerrville, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at her residence. She was born July 13, 1954 in Virginia Beach, VA to John and Myra (Hefner) Ward. On July 4, 2004, she married David Sharp in Coahoma, TX\r\n \r\nShe was a nurse for 45 years and, as a people person, she loved to take care of people. She also loved to travel and see her grandchildren.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her father, John Ward.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include her husband, David Sharp of Kerrville; mother, Myra Ward of Denver, CO; daughters, Jennifer Featherston of Ft. Smith, AR and Wendi Walker and husband, Rusty of Fritch, TX; sons, Dustin Featherston of Snyder, TX and Jamie Sharp of Pleasanton, TX; sister, Nancy Flanigan and husband, Mark of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Aydin and Maci Featherston of Arlington, TX.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Volunteer Unit of the VA Hospital, Attn: Alzheimers Unit, 3600 Memorial Blvd., Kerrville, TX 78028. \r\n
