On September 28, 2016, Catherine H. Gehrts, formerly of Grand Prairie, TX, was called home to be with our Lord. She was a true Texas woman and proud veteran of the United States Navy. She was a cake decorator and florist for most of her life, because as she often said, she loved to make things pretty. \r\n \r\nCathy is survived by her three daughters, Samantha, Natalie and Jeanette Gehrts; her brother, Clark, his wife, Tammy and his sons, Reed and Ross Huffstetler; her brother, Sam, his wife, Charlotte and their children, Loren, Dustin and Jacob Huffstetler; her uncle, Kenneth Wash; and aunt and uncle, Gary and Kathy Wash.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Wynona Huffstetler.\r\n \r\nGraveside services will be held at Richland Springs Cemetery at 1 PM on October 22, 2016 in Richland Springs, TX.\r\n \r\nShe taught us to be girls and then women made of fire, to love fully and completely without consequence.
