Albert Gus Goodwin Geisendorff, 89, of Kerrville, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 4th 2017 at 5 pm in the town of Kerrville, Texas. He was born in Beaumont, Texas, to Albert Goodwin Geisendorff, Sr. and Marjorie (Glass) Geisendorff on September 26, 1927. He married Ruby Dee (Tackett) Geisendorff on April 28, 1962, in Beaumont, Texas.\r\n \r\nAG attended Beaumont High School, and received a Bachelors degree from Lamar University and Texas A&M University (ROTC). He worked for Sun Oil Co. for 40 years, was a veteran of post WWII and served in the Army as a cryptographer for 3 years. After AG retired from a long and prosperous career with Sun Oil he studied art and became an accomplished artist. He taught art classes at Longview Community College as well as held private classes at his home in Kerrville. He developed his own unique style of Cloisonn which have been featured in many art shows. His works have been displayed at both the Kerr Arts and cultural center and privately owned shops. Although A.G. did sell many of his works, his son noted he gave away and donated much more as that made him happier. A.G. was always involved in his communities sitting on several Board of Director positions, as well as a notable time in 1977-79 as Chief of the Nation for the Plano, Tx. YMCA. A.Gs work there established growth and programs that are still done today. A.G. is also remembered by his family as an accomplished craftsman. He designed and built two of their homes. His son remembers that his dad never took a short cut, or built anything less than solid. Graeme remembers even though his father was an executive and sometimes worked many hours, whenever we did anything we always did things together, or as a family. Most recently it cannot be overlooked, his fond friendships with his Mens breakfast club who together, have almost solved the worlds problems.\r\n \r\nHe is preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, Marann Taylor, and brother, James Goodwin Geisendorff.\r\n \r\nAG is survived by his wife, Ruby Dee Geisendorff; son, Albert Graeme Geisendorff and wife, Michelle; niece, Marye Elizabeth (Beth) Herring; grandchildren, Catherine and Joshua Ray Knapp, Amanda and Joseph Lee Knapp, Ashton Elizabeth Geisendorff, and Aaron Goodwin Geisendorff; great-grandchildren, Alivia June Knapp, Adeline Rose Knapp, and soon to be baby Knapp.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held 2 PM, Friday, January 6, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Pastor Doyl Tully of Pure Heart Fellowship of Rowlett, Texas, officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation services will not be held. \r\n \r\nPallbearers will be Aaron Geisendorff, Buz Thurman, Tom Shook, Joseph Knapp, Stephen Wilson, Lindy Menefee and Bill Dole. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Carlson, Dr. DeVaney, Joshua Knapp, and all the men from the Friday Breakfast Club. \r\n \r\nFlowers are appreciated but also please consider a donation to Hill Country Youth Ranch, Ingram Texas. \r\n \r\nThe family of A.G. wishes to give our heartfelt and sincere thanks to so many people including the Peterson Hospice program, nurses and neighbors who loved us and cared for our health, dignity and our souls. May God give back overflowing, to those who blessed us.\r\n \r\n
