Jose Orosco Gutierrez of Kerrville, Texas passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.\r\n \r\nJose was born on October 23, 1934 and raised in Kerrville, Texas to Jose Gutierrez Sr. and Esther Orosco Cervantes.\r\n \r\nHe married the late Virginia Margie Garza on July 3, 1962 and together they raised their four children. Later, losing his wife of 25 years, Joe did soul searching and met Josephine Gonzales. They were married on December 24, 2002.\r\n \r\nJose worked and dedicated his career of 35 years in Air Craft Mechanics for companies such as D. Howard, Swearingen and Boeing Air Crafts. His passions in life were fishing, hunting, and dancing with his family and friends. But most all, his growing faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by parents, Jose Gutierrez and Esther O. Cervantes; wife, Virginia Margie Gutierrez; grandson, Sebastian Ybarra Sr.; daughter, Gloria Gutierrez; and siblings, Ezequiel Gutierrez, Connie Concha Gutierrez and Isabel Ramirez.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by his wife of 15 years, Josephine Gutierrez; sons, Gary Gutierrez and wife, Leticia and Robert Gutierrez; daughters, Grace G. Aleman and Gladys Ybarra and husband, Ramon Ybarra Jr.; grandchildren, Gary Joseph Gutierrez, Gilardo Butos, Dominick Jacob Gutierrez, Wade Gutierrez, John Aleman, Felicia Aleman, Virginia Aleman McAllister, and Niklet Arrendall Ybarra; great grandchildren, Arrianah McAllister, Sebastian Ybarra II, Airik Gutierrez, Justice Gutierrez, Sean Gutierrez, Angel Gutierrez, Faith Gutierrez and Milah Gutierrez; and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held 9 AM, Friday, July 14, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church on Methodist Encampment Road in Kerrville. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.\r\n \r\nThe family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Peterson Hospice and Staff in Kerrville for hte care he received during this period of time.\r\n
