Leldon Wayne Bolin, 78, of Center Point, passed away on September 11th, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas, after a brief illness. The youngest of three boys, he was born on September 3rd, 1939 in Houston, Texas, to Madeline Elizabeth and Ralph Gladney Bolin. He married Marilyn Lee Alcorn on December 27th, 1963 in Houston, Texas. \r\n\r\nHe went to school at Spring Branch, and also attended Texas A&M University and the University of Houston. He traveled the world as a turbine generator technician, and later ran his own business as a millwright in Kerrville for 15 years before retiring in 2005. He has been an active member of Southern Oaks Baptist Church in Kerrville for many years. \r\n\r\nLeldon is preceded in death by his mother and father, and an older brother, Lee Ralph Bolin. \r\n\r\nLeldon is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn; his oldest son, Dwayne Rankin and his wife, Jeralyn; middle son, Benjamin and his wife, Denise; and youngest son, Edison; his brother, Rex Bolin; grandchildren Kristen Rankin; Kathryn, William and Amanda Bolin; and great-granddaughter Leila Ludwig.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be 5-7pm, Friday, September 15th, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, 728 Jefferson, Kerrville, Texas. \r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held 10am, Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Pastor Joe Taylor of Southern Oaks Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery. \r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Dwayne Rankin, Benjamin Bolin, Edison Bolin, William Bolin, Harry Parrish and George McHorse.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to Southern Oaks Baptist Church of Kerrville, Texas. \r\n\r\nThe family of Leldon Bolin wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of Peterson Regional Medical Center, numerous family and friends, and the congregation family of Southern Oaks Baptist Church.
