Joy LaVerne Valentine, age 87 of Kerrville, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at her residence. She was born August 14, 1930 in Skidmore, Texas to John Lantrip Sr. and Grace Williams Lantrip. \r\n \r\nJoy had a green thumb and loved working in her yard. She also loved to cook and was a seamstress. She was involved with the First Assembly of God Church.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Valentine Sr.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include daughter, Linda Baun of Kerrville; sons, G.W. Valentine Jr. of Lufkin, Gregory Valentine of Temple, and David Wayne Valentine of Huntsville; sister, Doris Mooney of Ft. Worth; brother, Bill Lantrip Sr. of Longview; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.\r\n \r\nNo services will be held.\r\n
