Jimmy Lucas, 92, of Bandera, passed away on January 26, 2018 in San Antonio. He was born in Karnes City, Texas to Lois and George W. Lucas on September 5, 1925. He Married Iona Goodwin on May 11, 1951 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.\r\n\r\nHe served honorably in the US Navy and US Army during WWII and Korea. He is among those held in high esteem and known as a part of the Greatest Generation.\r\n\r\nJimmy is survived by his wife of 66 years Iona Lucas; daughter, Deborah Ogrodowicz of Waller, Texas; son, Robert Lucas and wife Varney of Bandera, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Ogrodowicz and wife, Becky, Tiffany Ogrodowicz, Robert Lucas and wife, Susie and William Lucas and wife, Kelly; great grandchildren, Savanna Ogrodowicz, Charlie Pickens, Brandon Lucas, Alecz Lucas, Alisson Lucas, Conner Lucas, Wyatt Lucas and Lily Lucas. \r\n\r\nA Visitation will be 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.\r\n\r\nA Graveside service will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
