Bernadette 'Bonnie' Benavidez, 64, of Bandera, passed away on February 23, 2018 in San Antonio. She was born in Houston, TX. to Helen and Richard Ortiz on November 4, 1953.\r\n\r\nBonnie was a graduate of Texas Women's University and worked at M. D. Anderson Hospital for many years and then worked for UTMB in Galveston. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ruben; parents, Helen and Richard Ortiz; sons, Charles and Trinidad; sister, Theresa Ortiz; brothers, Richard Paul Ortiz and Patrick Ortiz. \r\n\r\nA Visitation will be held 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, February 25,2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.\r\n\r\nA Visitation will be held 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday, February 26, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera, with a Rosary at 6:30 PM.\r\n\r\nA Mass will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at St. Stanilaus Catholic Church.
