James Lyndon Vanek, 64, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 9, 1953. He graduated from Plano High School, Plano, Texas.\r\n \r\nJames was preceded in death by his father, Gus Vanek; his wife, Viola Vanek; and several special aunts and uncles.\r\n \r\nJames is survived by his mother, Lois Vanek; his sister, Martha Vanek Hardy; his nephew, Petty Officer Richard S. Hardy, U.S. Navy; and numerous cousins.\r\n \r\nA graveside service will be held at 2 PM, on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Garden of Memories Cemetery.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be given to a charity of choice.\r\n
