Don Mays, 74 of Ingram, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in Riverview Nursing Home in Boerne, Texas.\r\n \r\nHe was born March 20, 1944 in Marble Falls, Texas to Bob and Evelyn Mays.\r\n \r\nDon loved to fish and hunt and then tell stories about the fishing and hunting. He was a friend to everyone he met. He never met a stranger.\r\n \r\nDon was preceded in death by his daughters, Evelyn Evie Mays Cook and Shellie Mays; his mother and father, Robert Paul Bob Mays and Evelyn Wimberly Mays; oldest brother, Bunny Mays and brother, Buddy Mays; sisters, Dinkie Dallaire, Ruth Washburn Mays and Shirley Duglosh.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sue Mays; grandsons, Tom Cook, Montana Cook and Terale Mays; granddaughter, Kansas Cook; great-granddaughter, Brantley Haven Cook; sisters, LaVerne Ray and Dovie Nell Morris; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; as well as sister-in-law, Janice Mays.\r\n \r\nAt this time, family has decided to have a private family service at a later date.\r\n \r\n
