George L. Stapleton, 57, of Lakehills, passed away on March 10, 2019. He was born on White Sands Missile Range to Toshiko and Norman Stapleton on August 4, 1961. He married Marla Wetmore on May 21, 1980 in Pacific Grove, CA.\r\n\r\nHe graduated from the Defense Language Institute. He served as a linguist for the Air Force for over twenty years and then worked for the Department of Defense as a civilian until retirement.\r\n\r\nGeorge is survived by his wife Marla Stapleton, son Lee Stapleton, daughter Becky Stapleton, siblings Norman L. Stapleton, Margaret Jenkins, Cindy Smith, Michael E. Stapleton, and Norma Duez, and loving grandson Drake.\r\n\r\nArrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.\r\n
