Elias Flores (93) passed away in his hometown of Kerrville, TX on June 24, 2021. He was born on April 17, 1928 to Antonia Cantu and Julio Flores. He married Soila Garza (1930-1995) in May 1953. He married Nelia Garza on July 14, 2008.\r\n\r\nElias Flores was a man who loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He loved to dance! He retired from Kerrville State Hospital where he spent thirty-five years working in the kitchen with an amazing team of people. Always a kind human being with great wit and a contagious laugh, he was committed and devoted to his family. In his retirement, he enjoyed working in his garden. He took great pride in woodworking and loved golf.\r\n\r\nElias was preceded in death by his parents, Antonia Cantu and Julio Flores; his first wife, Soila Garza Flores; and, sister, Francisca Kika Moreno.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include his spouse, Nelia Garza Flores of Kerrville; son, Ismael Flores and wife Sylvia Flores of Lees Summit, MO; grandson, Guillermo Flores and wife Christel Flores of Omaha, NE; grandson, Chris J. Flores of Lees Summit. Great-grandchildren include Logan Flores and London Flores of Omaha. Nephews include Elias Moreno of Kerrville and Isabel Moreno, Colorado Springs, CO. Nelias children include Pablo Albert Patsy Garza, George Garza Sr., and Laura McGrath as well as grandchildren, Christina Garza, Kellie Garza and Kim Garza and their mother, Brenda Garza. Great-grandkids include Isaak, Faith, Amaiyah, Dezmond, Elijah, Kianni, Brooklyn and Aniya, all of whom contributed to Eliass life in the last 13 years.\r\n\r\nRosary will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, TX. \r\n\r\nFuneral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Notre Dame Catholic Church.\r\n
