Michael Gruening, 55, of Bandera, Texas, passed away on June 22, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Stuart and Elaine Gruening on November 27, 1965. Michael had a true love for fishing and proudly served his country as an Army Veteran. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Stuart Gruening. Michael is survived by his spouse; Irma Cruz Martinez, children; Michelle Lee Valdez (Ernest), Lucas Duarte, mother; Elaine Gruening, grandchildren; Robert Cole Valdez, Faith Rose Valdez, Ernest Frank Valdez and Skyler Raine Valdez, and many family members in Wisconsin. A Celebration of Life will be held at on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera, Texas. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.
